Practical Action, founded in 1966 as ITDG (the Intermediate Technology Development Group), is an international non-governmental organisation (NGO) which specializes in helping people to use technology for practical answers to poverty. It is striving for a world free of poverty in which technology is used sustainability to the benefit of all equally. It seeks to demonstrate and advocate the sustainable use of technology to reduce poverty in developing countries.
