Do you want to be part of a passionate and dedicated team working with local partner organisations in developing countries to build disaster resilience through our work creating opportunities for vulnerable young people across the world?


Y Care International has an exciting opportunity to join our International Programmes team to: provide technical support in mainstreaming disaster resilience across Y Care International’s programming on enterprise and employability for young people; manage our emergency response activities; and provide technical support to our youth-serving partners to build capacity for effective disaster resilience and response.



 


The successful candidate will be educated to degree level; have knowledge and at least 2 years’ experience of working in disaster resilience, disaster risk reduction and/or emergency/ humanitarian response; have excellent interpersonal skills with experience in building capacity of local organisations based in developing countries; have good financial management skills; be computer literate; be happy to travel overseas periodically, sometimes at short notice; and fluent in written and spoken English.
