Postdoctoral position in climate change adaptation in urban areas

A postdoctoral position is available for at the department of environmental engineering. The successful candidate will work on integrated assessments of water management in an urban area considering the water cycle, flooding and other extreme events, urban planning, and adaptation options. Case studies will provide a basis for testing risk management approaches and decision making tools and will include a dialogue with Danish stakeholders. The main projects the candidate will be affiliated with is the Centre for Regional Change in the Earth System Project and Denmark Technical University Climate Center.



Qualifications

- Candidates must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) and have strong knowledge on conceptual understanding of urban drainage and broad knowledge on GIS, risk assessments and economics.
- Good communication skills in both English and Danish will be an advantage.

Contract type
The appointment is for 3 years and will be based on the collective agreement with the confederation of professional associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.
